How to update your Payment / Credit Card

How to Update Your Payment Method

Keeping your payment information current ensures uninterrupted access to your account and services. This guide will walk you through the process of updating your credit card or payment method in just a few simple steps. The entire process typically takes less than 2 minutes to complete.

Access Your Account Settings

To begin updating your payment method, you'll need to access your account settings area. Start by logging into your account if you haven't already done so. Once you're logged in, you'll be able to navigate to the billing section where payment methods are managed.

The account settings area contains all your personal information, subscription details, and billing preferences. This is your central hub for managing all aspects of your account.

Locate Your Account Menu

Look for your name and email address displayed in the top left corner of your screen. This serves as your account menu trigger.

  1. Direct your attention to the top left area of your screen
  2. Click on your name and email address

Navigate to Billing and Plan

Look for the tab or option labeled Billing and Plan. This section houses all your subscription and payment information.

  1. Click on Billing and Plan
  2. Wait for the billing page to load completely

Once you click this option, you'll be taken to a page that displays your current plan details, billing history, and payment method information. This is where you can manage all aspects of your subscription and payments.

Open the Payment Update Form

On the Billing and Plan page, you'll find various options for managing your subscription. Look for the Update Payment Method button. This button is prominently displayed at the bottom to make it easy to find when you need to update your card information.

  1. Scan the page for the payment method section
  2. Locate the Update Payment Method button
  3. Click the button to open the payment form

After clicking this button, a payment form will appear where you can enter your new credit card information. The form may appear as a popup window or expand directly on the page.

Enter and Save Your New Payment Details

You're now at the final step where you'll input your new credit card information. The payment form will have fields for all the necessary card details. Make sure you have your new credit card ready before proceeding.

Required Information

  • Card number (16 digits for most credit cards)
  • Expiration date (month and year)
  • Security code (CVV/CVC - usually 3 or 4 digits)
  • Billing zip code or postal code
  • Cardholder name (as it appears on the card)

Completing the Update

  1. Enter your new credit card number in the designated field
  2. Select the expiration month and year from the dropdown menus
  3. Input the security code from the back of your card
  4. Verify all entered information is correct
  5. Click the Update Card button to save your changes

After clicking Update Card, the system will validate your payment information. This usually takes just a few seconds. You should see a confirmation message indicating that your payment method has been successfully updated.

What Happens Next

Once your payment method is updated, the new card will be used for all future charges. Your next billing cycle will automatically use this new payment method. You may receive a confirmation email noting that your payment information has been changed for security purposes.

If you encounter any errors during the update process, double-check that all card information is entered correctly, including the billing address associated with the card. If problems persist, your card issuer may need to authorize the transaction, or you may need to contact customer support for assistance.

Note: We're aware that you cannot currently remove or delete old cards from the dashboard. Rest assured they will not be used again, and if you would like us to remove them manually, just shoot us an email or chat!
