How to Embed Videos Into Your Website Pages

Adding videos to your website can significantly enhance visitor engagement and help communicate your message more effectively. This guide will walk you through the process of embedding WebPrez videos into your website pages using the responsive embed code feature. The entire process takes just a few minutes and ensures your videos display properly across all devices.

Access Your WebPrez Dashboard and Navigate to the Videos Tab

Begin by logging into your WebPrez account to access your dashboard. Once you're logged in, you'll see the main navigation menu where you can manage all your video content.

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to your WebPrez dashboard
  2. Look for the Videos tab in the main navigation menu
  3. Click on the Videos tab to access your video library

You should now see your complete video library displayed on the screen. This is where all your uploaded videos are stored and managed.

Select the Video You Want to Embed From Your Video Library

Your video library contains all your videos. Now you'll need to choose which specific video you want to embed on your website.

  1. Browse through your video library to find the video you want to embed
  2. Click on the video thumbnail or title to select it
  3. The video details page will open, showing you various options for that specific video

Once you've selected your video, you'll see several options appear. This is where you'll find the embedding tools needed for the next step.

Locate and Copy the Responsive Video Embed Code Using the Video Only Embed Codes Option

WebPrez provides different types of embed codes to suit various needs. For the best viewing experience across all devices, you'll want to use the responsive embed code option.

  1. On the video details page, on thre right lower side, locate and click on Video Only Embed Codes
  2. You'll see different embed code options appear
  3. Select Video Embed Code for "Responsive" Display from the available options
  4. The responsive embed code will be displayed in a text box
  5. Click the Copy button to copy the embed code to your computer's clipboard

You should see a confirmation message indicating that the code has been successfully copied. This responsive code ensures your video will automatically adjust its size based on the viewer's screen, providing an optimal viewing experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

Open Your Website Editor and Navigate to the Page Where You Want to Display the Video

With the embed code copied, you're ready to add the video to your website. This step will vary depending on which website editor or content management system you're using.

  1. Open a new browser tab or window (keep your WebPrez dashboard open in case you need to reference it)
  2. Navigate to your website editor or content management system
  3. Log in to your website editor if required
  4. Navigate to the specific page where you want the video to appear
  5. Locate the section or area on the page where you want to position the video

Different website editors have different interfaces, but most will have an option to add HTML code or embed external content. Look for options like "HTML block," "Embed code," "Custom HTML," or similar terminology in your editor.

Paste the Embed Code Into the Designated Area of Your Website Editor to Complete the Embedding Process

This final step brings everything together by adding the video to your website. The exact process will depend on your specific website editor, but the general approach remains similar.

For Most Website Editors:

  1. Look for an option to add HTML or embed code (this might be under "Insert," "Add Element," or a similar menu)
  2. Click to add an HTML or embed code block to your page
  3. Click inside the code editor area that appears
  4. Paste the embed code using Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac)
  5. Save or apply the changes
  6. Preview your page to ensure the video appears correctly

Note: The exact location and method for adding embed codes will be different for every website editor. If you're using WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or another platform, consult their specific documentation if you can't locate the HTML or embed option.

Verifying Your Video Embed:

After pasting the code and saving your changes, your video should now appear on the page. To confirm everything is working properly:

  • View your page in preview mode or publish it temporarily
  • Check that the video player appears where you placed it
  • Test the play button to ensure the video loads and plays correctly
  • Resize your browser window to verify the responsive display adjusts properly

Congratulations! Your WebPrez video is now successfully embedded on your website page. The video will automatically adapt to different screen sizes, ensuring your visitors have a great viewing experience regardless of their device. If the video doesn't appear immediately, try refreshing your page or clearing your browser cache.
