Add videos to GoDaddy Website Builder

GoDaddy lets you add your own code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) to your website. This allows you to extend the capabilities of your site with such things as custom forms, special-function buttons — and in our case, a WebPrez video.

✅ What You Need

  • Your WebPrez video embed code
  • Access to your GoDaddy Website Builder (now called Websites + Marketing)

🔧 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Copy Your WebPrez Embed Code

  • Log in to your WebPrez dashboard
  • Select the video you want to use
  • Click “Video Only Embed Codes”
  • Choose “Responsive Display”
  • Click Copy

2. Open Your GoDaddy Website Builder

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. Go to the page and location where you want to add your custom code and add a section.
  4. Search for the HTML section and select Add.
  5. Paste your WebPrez video embed code in the Custom Code field.
  6. Customize the rest of the section, such as the accent color, title and alignment. Leave Forced Height blank for auto-height or set a specific height in pixels. A height of 0 pixels is equivalent to deleting the section.
  7. Your changes are saved automatically. Use Preview to see the results and when you're ready to make the changes public, publish your site.

⚠️ Common Issues (Read This First)

1. Using the Wrong Section

Make sure you are using an HTML section.

❌ Pasting code into a text block will NOT work

2. Video Not Showing in Preview

Sometimes the video will not display correctly in preview mode.

👉 Always check the live published page

3. Internet Connection Required

WebPrez videos are hosted online.

👉 The video will only play with an active internet connection

4. No Response Form on Embedded Videos

When embedded on your website:

  • The video will display
  • The response form will NOT appear

This is expected behavior.

💡 Best Practices

  • Use embedded videos on your website pages
  • Use direct video links for:
    • Email campaigns
    • Presentations
    • Follow-ups

Pro Tip

If something doesn’t look right:

  • Re-check that you used the correct section
  • Re-paste the embed code
  • Publish and test again
